Summer Concert Series Part 1!!!

Ok, I am a major concert loving kind of gal, and I wanted to take a minute to share some of my awesome pictures I personally took! I have an awesome concert buddy (who happens to be my boss as well) and if it wasnt for her there is no way I could be this up close and personal with these guys! Our first concert was Chris Young (who I also saw last year at a very small personal venue) and Miranda Lambert (omg, forever a fan of hers! I have loved her since she came out years back and now seeing her in person just makes me love her fiesty attitude even more! She rocked it out fo sho! Oh, and I was too busy enjoying my drink when something hit me in the face........oh, you know, just her guitar pick! Woot!

And Then we have the Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney concert. First off, let me start out by saying that Mr. McGraw is not a very "entertaining" performer, BUT he sure as hell did rock the shit out of this all white outfit! Holy sweet mother of jesus. That man has it going on! Most of the pics are of Tim and not Kenny, he wouldnt hold still for more than 3 seconds and my iphone doesnt work that fast! Kenny Chesney is an amazing performer (alothough he doesnt have shit on my husband Kid Rock, with whom I am furious with! He isnt even coming to indy this year! The nerve!)

In this picture as you can see, he is looking right at me. He was in front of us, but not quite close enough. So.....I start waving my arms telling him to come over.......well he sure did! Hellz yea! Hottie hottie hottie. I think he asked me to marry him but it was so loud in there who knows! :)

This is about the only pic I got of Kenny Chesney. That man is HYPER!!! But awesome!

Color Block ~ This seasons hottest trend

 I am sure you all are just as in love with the whole color blocking trend that is so HOT right now! I decided to created some color block necklaces ala femme petal style ...AKA pearls! Here are the 2 that I have completed so far. I will be adding many more colors too!  These are perfect with a bright tube top and maxi skirt! Or just about anything! :)

How I spent my weekend..... refinishing this beauty!

I was so thrilled when my mom gave me this "not so pretty" antique vanity that she used to use everyday to put on her makeup when I was a kid. I mean I opened the drawers and I still remember the smell that came out of them!!! I used to sit at this very vanity and play in all her expensive makeup and proceed to get in trouble everytime!!! This has so many memories for me! But the condition was poor. As you can see, scratches and one of the legs appears to have been gnawed on by an animal. So what did my crafty self do? Well I refinished it to my liking of course! So here is my step by step path to the beauty I created, and will now use as my jewelry designing table!!! The outcome is to die for!

BEFORE~ in all its glorious scratched to hell beauty

Step 1~ Sanding. Yes, I did it with my bare hands! Well my bare hands used sand paper.

Step 2~ Priming. Gotta prime to make the paint last!

Step 3~ Applying the paint! I used what I would say to be a mix between mint and robins egg blue.

Step 4~ Distressing. UGH! This was the absolute worst part!!!! Hard as hell! My arms are still sore from doing this! I used the same sand paper as I did for the sanding. Probably not my brightest idea. And I didnt distress it near as much as I would have liked, simply because it was so hard!

And.......the final product! (before its completely cluttered with all of my supplies!!!) But I cant describe how excited I am to actually have drawers!!!!! My old crafting table had NONE!!!!! So maybe I will stay organized........ah who am I kidding!
