Color Block ~ This seasons hottest trend

 I am sure you all are just as in love with the whole color blocking trend that is so HOT right now! I decided to created some color block necklaces ala femme petal style ...AKA pearls! Here are the 2 that I have completed so far. I will be adding many more colors too!  These are perfect with a bright tube top and maxi skirt! Or just about anything! :)

Family Picture Time!

 We had a little session with a new photographer yesterday and of course my Maxwell was a totally pill! UGH! It must be the age, 2 is not a good age for pictures. I mean seriously he was running around the park like an absolute MADMAN! I am surprised she got ANY good ones! Our theme was a vintage picnic, and I was going for the nautical look (my obsession) I just think blues and reds look so good in pictures! I dont normally wear red, so of course I had to buy a new outfit! DUH! So here are the 3 that she shared with me so far. I love them!

Too good to be true?

I got a convo from a customer today who ordered my Carrie Necklace in Nautical.......saying that she would be wearing this necklace in a photo shoot for a bridal magazine in Austrailia!!!!!! How freaking awesome is that??? I am on cloud nine right now! My name and website will be featured in a magazine! Thats enough just to make me feel super important!!! I will share images once I get them, and also I will figure out a way to get a picture or something of the hard copy magazine once its in my hands! So exciting!!!! I love my customers!

Etsy Front Page

It has been a little while since I have had a feature on the FRONT page of Etsy, but last Thursday I was indeed on the front page! Yay! Being on the front page definatley does not guarantee a sale, but it does open your shop to so many new eyes! I got a couple sales, none of which were the item that was on the front page strangely, and I also got 4 bridal party orders, so all in all it was definately a WIN for me! Somebody looks like mama!

My mom found a picture of me while going through some of my Uncle Mikes boxes the other day. I know Maxwell looks like me but when I saw this picture, it was like I was looking at him! Its amazing how many of my features he has! He is such a precious baby, and I am so thankful he is mine! Take a look at these pictures! WOW!

Closing up shop.......

Just a note that I will be closing my ETSY shop in order to finish all orders and prepare for my photo shoot next week! I am SUPER excited for this! I will be introducing lots of new jewels, and even a few new colors in my ever so poular Carrie Necklace!!!!! I am bursting at the seams .......really, Im that excited!!! Ive ordered a TON of new supplies and I cannot wait to be able to sit down and let my creative mind go!!!! STAY TUNED!!!!!!!!!

Happy Easter Egg!!!!!

Just wanted to say HAPPY EASTER to all my followers! I hope everyone had a fun day filled with family, food, egg hunting, food, laughs, and did I mention FOOD??? We had a great day! Played kinect all afternoon, which Im sure i will be hurting tomorrow! That darn kinect kicks my BUTT!!!!! Here is a picture of my family on Easter 2011!

I have decided that it is time to have some proffessional pics taken of my jewelry. I know people love to see what the pieces actually look like on a human, so I am going to be the model! A quick HOWDY

Just a quick note in my oh so busy life to say hi to the world!

I am SWAMPED with wedding orders!! I love seeing FemmePetal desings around so many womens necks! Makes me so happy!

Its sometimes so hard to find the time to create everything I sell, for those that dont know, I work full time for a super awesome Dentist, I also work part time at the worlds best denim store, the Buckle, and of course I am a jewelry makin queen. Oh did I mention I am a single mom to 3? I know right? Im crazy!

I booked our Spring Break getaway, great wolf lodge. Not so much of a getaway for me but my kids are SOOOOOO excited! After this trip I may need a vacation ALONE!!! I will make sure and post some pics of my awesome kids on the trip once we are home! What are your spring break plans????
